Idrîss & Nûh
We have spoken of the Prophet Adam who was created by Allah as the first Man and for whom the Angels prostrated themselves. He was the first Prophet on Earth. Before he gave up his soul to Allah , he made his last recommendations to his son Shîth (Seth, which means gift from Allah, as he was born after Abel’s death): he was to transmit the message of the oneness of Allah to the following generations. In this way, people remained worshippers of Allah , the One, for many centuries to come.
A descendant of Shîth, Idrîss (Enoch) was sent by Allah as Prophet:
Recall also the story of Idrîss, as quoted in the Qur’an. He was a truthful man and a Prophet, and We promoted him to a high rank.
