Prophetic narratives, mainly from Mecca
We are all invited to meditate on the Quran. Every believer must do this. But are we capable of deducing from the Quran the lessons and teachings it contains? Of course not. Anyone can read, chant and shudder to hear the Quran. Allah the Most High declares:
Indeed, We have made the Quran easy to evoke. Is there anyone to ponder?
(The Moon /n°54, v.17).

However, not everyone can grasp the nuances offered by certain verses. Already, the Companions in their time drew our attention to the danger of believing that the entire Quran is accessible to everyone in terms of comprehension. Ibn ‘Abbâs tells us: “The Quran falls into four categories: passages that everyone can understand relating to the illicit and licit; passages that are comprehensible to Arabs (i.e. those who speak Arabic); passages that only scholars understand; passages that only Allah knows. Whoever claims to understand them is a liar.”
