The merits of almsgiving

In this article, we’ll be mentioning the benefits and merits of almsgiving. But before we start, let’s stress that it’s important for us to fear Allah by complying with His injunctions and avoiding His prohibitions, as this embodies happiness in this world and bliss in the Hereafter. Furthermore, turning away from piety will unfortunately constitute a great loss that leads to an unfortunate end.

Having said this, good deeds are differentiated from one another in the sight of Allah according to their usefulness for their author and for ordinary people. Their reward is multiplied as long as they remain useful to people. Continuous good deeds and useful alms are part of the benevolence(al-ihsân) so praised by the texts of the Koran and the Sunna.
