The work of Abû Bakr

In our previous article, we looked at how the caliph dealt with these movements of protest and apostasy following the death of the Messenger . Today, we’re going to draw some lessons from this.

Firstly, these revolts were exploited by the major regional powers. Indeed, the Persians and Byzantines had lost their monopoly in the region. They aroused the animosity of the tribes in the peninsula. The Jewish tribes, driven out of the region, also used their influence.
