A Message for You My Sister
Until the coming of our beloved Prophet Muhammad , women lived in humiliating and despicable conditions. Their rights and honor were trampled on, they had no rights except the right to silence and obedience. Women could be sold and inherited like a commodity.

A woman was treated like a common slave, and her father was ashamed of her. When he learned at the birth of his child that it was a girl, an immense sadness overcame him, to the point of burying her alive, as the Koran reveals:
And when one of them is told he has a daughter, his face darkens and a deep rage (overcomes him), he hides from people because of the misfortune he’s been told. Should he keep her despite the shame, or bury her in the ground? How bad is their judgment?
