The Passing of the Prophet
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,
Welcome, dear readers, to a new series of articles in which we take a closer look at the period of the 4 Rightly-Guided Caliphs and draw some valuable lessons from it.

They alone had the noble task of organizing society and making the best use of the Prophetic heritage. Through their choices and their ijtihâd, they succeeded in maintaining the course and the spirit of Revelation. Despite all this, we shall see that they were only men, certainly among the best, but profoundly human. Their decisions could not have been perfect, so let’s keep this in mind as we go along, and not judge certain facts too simply. May Allah grant us sincerity in this modest work.
