Fruits in the Quran 1

The Noble Quran refers to a variety of foods with different virtues. In this article, we’ll take a look at the various fruits mentioned in the Qur’an, to discover their different nutritional qualities from the point of view of both prophetic medicine and modern nutrition.

The grape

Grapes are a sweet-tasting fruit, rich in antioxidants, polyphenols and tannins. They are also a good source of vitamins C and B. Grapes are a source of potassium, which gives them their diuretic virtues. Although grapes are one of the sweetest fruits, their glycemic index remains very reasonable. Grapes are very rich in resveratrol, a substance with powerful antioxidant effects, which is thought to slow aging and improve insulin sensitivity.
