On the Path to Marriage From A to Z
Marriage is undoubtedly an important step in a believer’s life, completing his or her faith and piety. And it’s no coincidence that marriage is frequently referred to as half of religion. This famous saying is confirmed by this prophetic hadith:
“When the individual marries, he will have completed half of his religion, may he fear God in the other half”.
AL-BAYHAQÎ
In the Holy Quran, the Lord considers marriage to be one of His signs deriving from the order of His creation and pursuing definite objectives, He says in effect:
And among His signs is that He has created wives from you, for you, that you may live in tranquility with them, and He has placed affection and kindness between you. In this are proofs for people who reflect.
